The Lunatic, The Lover and The Poet (1st of April - 7th May 23)

An extraordinary exhibition of paintings and prints by Victoria Kiff will show at the gallery until May 7th. Victoria is a much acclaimed painter, studying at Kingston University: Foundation in Art and Design 1992-93 and Central St Martins School of Art and Design: BA Hons Fine Art- Painting, photography and film - 1993-96.

A title taken from Shakespeare, A Midsummer Nights Dream - the theme of this exhibition is the body landscape. Comprising of paintings in oil on canvas, mixed media on paper and printmaking. The artworks are a living narrative of figures and portraits which are based in abstract design, a series of characters, of living or long dead poets, actors, writers and any person of interest. 

Romantic, phantasmagoria past and present. 

“Consistent of the expressionism and human psychology within this painting process. I seek intensity of thoughts, combined with the inner workings of body and mind. I use the term body or figure landscape as these are involved in landscapes, influenced by living near waterways, countryside, woodland and the sea” Victoria Kiff
